The Reveilers: Our Journey

The Reveilers is a Lehigh Valley PA band blending classic progressive rock with various types of heavy metal. In 2024, The Reveilers received two Josie Music Award nominations for Rock Song of the Year and have recently released their debut album in May 2025. Formed in Bethlehem, PA in June 2022 after a series of fortunate events, The Reveilers provide energy-filled, exciting music with seemingly random jazz breaks that is infectious!

Yevgeny Baburin

Yevgeny, or Yev as he is called by his friends, has been playing guitar and writing music since his early teens. He studied classical guitar at IUPUI in Indianapolis and had the distinction of delivering the second ever solo guitar recital for that school. He recorded two albums and toured with acoustic instrumental trio Tonos Triad, for which he wrote the bulk of the more explorative material before moving to the greener pastures of distorted amp and whammy bars. Yev has played in numerous rock and punk projects prior to assembling The Reveilers. In his free time Yev likes to spend time with his cats and loved ones.

Shay Norris

Having recordings of her singing as early as age 5, Shay's love for music is more of a lifelong passion. Shay is a Jill of all trades! Having a history of playing multiple different instruments, she earned the title of Most Musical in eighth grade. However, Shay is most comfortable with her first instrument - voice. Prior to The Reveilers, Shay had the honor of singing the National Anthem at the Spirit of Courage Awards ceremony in 2017, was in a country duo with Rachel Wise, and has been a finalist in a number of singing competitions. Outside of music, Shay loves billiards, cats, comedy, dragons, wizards, and swords.

Aside from the countless hours Jeff has spent on stage as the sax player of Lucky 7 and the Casino Horns, Jeff has a varied musical pedigree. He studied at Ohio State and at the University of Tennessee at Martin College. After spending his youth playing in jazz and swing bands, he also spent some of his formative years on bass with Ohio thrash/punk legends Malevolence. In his free time Jeff likes to spend time with his cats and read books.

Brian Derkacs was a metal head from early on, and has been banging on the drums since he was just knee tall. He studied jazz at Moravian College, but he craved playing heavier sounds. Brian spent time touring nationally with Violent Nine and did some heavy gigging in Lehigh and beyond in Smooth Retsina Glow, where he met Yev. In his free time Brian likes to spend time with his cat and play video games.
